I’m back in Ireland for a while after teaching at Newcastle University for a while, and I’ve been trying to finish up an album for a very long time! The main problem is that I’d like this to be an album where I sing on it, but getting recordings of good enough quality is hard. I’m slowly releasing the instrumental tracks that will be on the album, as well as vocal tracks that sound ok. The idea then will be to get it all mastered by someone else for once and release it properly. Here’s the progress to date…
I’ve currently got two lists on my wall for 2 complete future albums. This is something I’ve wanted to do since last summer so I can’t wait to get them finished. In the mean time, I made another EP of water-inspired music because I enjoyed doing the Ray music so much. Here it is:
A lovely strange situation. Some of the music that myself and Declan Kelly made as Hogan Grip has been used on this video which talks to some of the people who worked with painter Jean-Michel Basquiat. Christie’s are selling some of his paintings soon, if you have a few million dollars lieing around.
In a further collaboration with Danny Cooke and Kurt Perschke, I did the soundtrack for the latest Redball adventure in California. You can see it in the video below, as well as the previous Redball UK video.
